Windows Volume and Recorder Mixer Settings
These settings can be found in several ways and vary by sound card equipment and operating system.
The settings discussed are for Windows XP and may or may not relate to your equipment.
Go to CONTROL PANEL – SOUNDS & AUDIO
The TAB that opens should have an ADVANCED BUTTON Choose ADVANCED ( a doubleclick on your volume icon in the windows tray should also open the volume mixer.) Then Properties allow you to open the recorder tab from the volume mixer.
OR Go to Desktop – Right Click – Select - New - Shortcut
This Line will create a Shortcut for Recorder Properties. %windir%\system32\sndvol32.exe /r
This Line will create a Shortcut for Volume Properties - %windir%\system32\sndvol32.exe
Good to have on Desktop.
This is where you choose your WINDOWS sound options, the recorder Tab is where you find the Stereo Mix – Wave Out Mix – What you Hear Mixer – These are essential to playing Music or Phone Calls over the air.
